We collect the following information when you use the App:

• Account information: Your email address and display name when you create an account.
• Saved content: URLs and metadata of reels you save to your Vault, including platform source and mood tags.
• Group and session data: Groups you create or join, Dose sessions you participate in, voting responses, and reactions.
• Together status: An optional, self-reported indication of whether you were watching in person, remotely, or a mix, when starting a group Dose session. This is used to understand how people use the App and is never required.
• Location information (optional): If you choose to provide it, we collect your city, state, and postal code. You may either type this in manually or use a one-time "auto-detect" feature. See Section 3 below for full detail on how this works and what device permissions are involved.
• Usage data: App interactions, feature usage, and session activity used to operate and improve the App.
• Purchase information: Subscription status and transaction history processed through Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.

The App allows you to optionally add a city, state, and postal code to your profile. This is entirely optional and is never required to use any feature of the App.

You can enter this information in two ways:

• Manual entry: Type your city, state, and postal code directly. No device permission is required.
• One-time auto-detect: Tap a button to have the App read your device's approximate location a single time and convert it into a city, state, and postal code for you. This is a one-time read, not continuous tracking. The App does not monitor your location in the background, and does not track your location as you move.

We currently use this information to support features related to your profile. We may use it in the future for regional content suggestions (for example, surfacing content relevant to local events). If we make material changes to how this information is used, we will update this policy and notify you as described in Section 11.

We do not sell, rent, or share your location information with data brokers or advertising partners.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features
• Process AI mood tagging of saved reels via OpenAI Vision API
• Enable group watch sessions, voting, and real-time features
• Understand how people use the App, including whether Dose sessions are watched together or remotely, to guide future development
• Manage subscription status and in-app purchases
• Respond to your support requests and communications
• Ensure the security and integrity of our services

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

The App uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them:

• Supabase — provides our database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure. Supabase processes and stores account data, group data, vault content, and session data on our behalf.

• OpenAI — processes reel URLs and metadata to generate AI mood tags. OpenAI does not use API requests to train its models. No personal account information is sent to OpenAI.

• RevenueCat — manages subscription status, entitlements, and purchase history.

• Google Play Services / Google Cast — facilitates app delivery, in-app purchases, and casting to TV.

• Device location services — used only if you tap the optional one-time auto-detect location feature described in Section 3. Governed by your device operating system's own location and privacy settings.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers: As described in Section 5, with third-party services that help us operate the App.
• Within your group: Your display name and voting responses are visible to members of groups you have joined.
• Legal compliance: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.

We retain your account information and app data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

The App is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data, including your city, state, or postal code.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data, or remove your location information at any time directly in the App's profile settings.
• Portability: Request a portable copy of your data.
• Opt-out: We do not sell personal data, so there is no sale to opt out of.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including with respect to precise geolocation, which the CCPA treats as sensitive personal information. To be clear: the App only ever collects approximate location, at your option, on a one-time basis. We do not collect or use precise geolocation for any purpose. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure, which maintains industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
